Message from the Captain

As Captain of Blackrock College RFC it is a great honour for me to welcome you all to Stradbrook. Having played with the club for the last year I am fully aware of the responsibility the position holds and am looking forward to the challenge ahead.I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all visiting supporters, players, officials and I hope that you will enjoy your time here, both on and off the pitch.

In addition I extend a warm welcome to all new and returning members to the club. I would also like to wish all 'Rock teams the best of luck this season including the highly successful 20's team, Junior teams and especially the Women's team!

In Barry Gibney and Emmett Farrell we havce two innovative, knowledgeable and highly respected coaches. Barry and Emmett are joined bt Ray Ward(Technical Advisor) and David Boyd (Manager). Nadim Abrahams is our masseur and Albert Kehoe is our physio. I would like to thank them all for their dedication and sometimes thankless efforts!

I would like to welcome Mark McDermott back to the club in his new role as General Manager and I wish him the very best. I would also like to thank our Director of Rugby, Garry McMahon and special thanks to my uncle, Larry Macken(Vice President).

To our new club President, Declan Gardiner, I'd like to extend my sincere congratulations. I hope you enjoy your term of office, and have a really successful year.
